Performances

Ode Ilo finds inspiration from artist personas, and is itself one. They were created in the artistic process of their predecessors': Filip Emil Hämäläinen and Helinä Eloranta. The looping cycle of artist personas' creating new ones is a method for the artist to understand, process and document their gender, sexuality and prevailing societal gender roles.

The performance was separated into two acts by Filip Emil Hämäläinen and Ode Ilo. The performance looks into the artist's relation to their family's generational history and Northern Karelian masculine roles.
